Made from durable ebony wood, this stick is dense and hard, perfect for buffing out scuffs and scratches.
Size is roughly 5.75" long by .90-.95" diameter. This will vary slightly as this is a hand-turned product.
Ebony stick is hand-turned on a lathe, and then hand sanded and buffed for a natural finish.
Made in USA from Gaboon Ebony sourced from Africa.
I bought a pair of Crockett&Jones, Harlech, second hand. Some really nasty scuffs, but the price was too good to let them go. Started working on them with a deer bone. They turned up quite alright, but they still had the look of combat boots from a street fight with Pit Bulls...

I don't know what else to say tbh. I decided to give the ebony stick after struggling with a deer bone and this is objectively just a better tool. It's way more practical, allows to work on all sorts of difficult to reach parts of the shoe and does not require any maintenence. Customer service is fantastic. Justin really cares about his craft amd responds quicky in case of any queries/issues. Not a bad word to say about the stick or Dapper Woodworks as a whole - highly recommend!

If you own even one pair of shell cordovan shoes, you need this ebony stick. I could never quite get the hang of using a deer bone, but I can wield this ebony stick like a ninja. It has done an incredible job on my shell cordovan shoes.
On top of that, Justin is a class act. I needed the stick to prepare a pair of shoes for a wedding, and he made sure to expedite the shipping. It arrived in a beautiful box with a handwritten note thanking me for my purchase.
If I ever need anything Justin makes, I’m buying it.
